How did meet her husband
Despite Biles and Owens’ close encounter during a Texas game in 2019, the two officially met in March 2020 via the dating app Raya — and it was Biles who made the first move.
“He used to say I got into his DMs,” the gymnast told the Wall Street Journal. “I looked at him and I thought, ‘Oh, he’s so cute,’ so I said hi… and then I saw he was in the Houston area, so we started talking for a little bit, and then we went to hang out.” Out in two weeks.”
Although both are well-known athletes, Owens was not previously familiar with Biles. He told Texas Monthly in June 2021, “I didn’t know who she was.”
Was adopted
She did so for a short time, but now on a winter evening in 2002, a social worker in Ohio called Ron and told him that Shannon was unable to care for the four children. He was about to be put up for adoption.
(Bleacher Report was unable to reach Shannon Biles for this story.)
Ron’s heart sank upon hearing this news. Those girls were the greatest joys in his life, the sun in his solar system. Sure, Simone was rambunctious—she liked to climb on the couch and jump about, as if trying to fly—but she was also irresistible.
She constantly flashed her bright, little-girl smile and looked through her big brown eyes at her Grandpa and Grandma, whom she called Ron and Nellie. Ron would jump with joy whenever Simone and Adria ran into his arms.
Now, upon learning that his granddaughters are soon up for adoption, Ron asks Nellie if she would be willing to make a lifelong commitment to the girls.
