Sean Roden (April 2, 1975 – November 6, 2021) was a Jamaican-American IFBB professional bodybuilder and former Mr. Olympia. He won the 2018 Mr. Olympia competition by defeating seven-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath. He was the oldest bodybuilder to win the Mr. Olympia title at the age of 43 years and five months.

Death
Shawn Roden married his wife Michelle Sugar in 2018. However, due to some personal issues and allegations of cheating, they got divorced. There have been no dating rumors since the divorce from Michelle. He died of a heart attack on 6 November 2021.
Roden was accused of sexually assaulting a female security guard while visiting Salt Lake City, Utah in October 2018, shortly after Mr Olympia’s victory. In July 2019, he was formally charged with rape, object rape and sexual abuse in the state of Utah. [8] It was alleged that Roden had invited a married woman whom he was mentoring to his hotel room in Salt Lake, where the alleged action took place. American Media LLC, the organizing body of the Mr. Olympia competition, issued a statement in July 2019 that Rodan had been banned from competing in the 2019 Mr. Olympia competition, as well as future competitions.[9] Bodybuilding And the IFBB, the sport’s governing body of fitness, issued a statement in July 2019, through representative Jim Mannion, that no action would be taken against Roden until further information was gathered.

Sean Roden was a modern bodybuilding legend who also faced serious controversies in the years after winning Mr. Olympia in 2018.
He discovered bodybuilding in 1992 and entered the sport at the amateur level.
Although he suffered several injuries and after the death of his father, he turned to alcohol.
Years later and after a slow recovery, he returned to the sport, eventually earning his IFBB Pro card in 2010.
Shawn finished 11th in his Mr. Olympia debut in 2011.
