Is Dead

Australian cricket legend and all-time great leg spinner Shane Warne has passed away at the age of 52.

Warne’s management issued a brief statement in the early hours of Saturday (AEDT), that he died of a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand. Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and, despite the best efforts of the medical staff, could not be revived.

Death Cause

Although Warne’s family is yet to confirm how the cricket icon died, Fox Sports Australia says he died of a suspected heart attack.

Warne is believed to have been in Koh Samui, a tourist destination in Thailand, at the time of his death.

The statement confirming his demise read: “Shane was found unresponsive at his villa and, despite the best efforts of the medical staff, could not be revived.

“The family requests confidentiality at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Shane Warne had three children with ex-wife Simone Callahan. Both were married between 1995 and 2005.
