He is the world champion in two weight categories, holding the WBO Super Featherweight title since 2021; WBC and Ring Magazine Super Featherweight titles since April 2022; and the WBO featherweight title from 2019 to 2020. As an amateur, he represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the bantamweight division.
