Sha’Carri Richardson might not have competed at the Tokyo Olympics, but at the 2021 Prefontaine Classic this Saturday, she will race all three 100m Olympic medalists. The Jamaican trio of Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Shericka Jackson is entered in this weekend’s women’s 100m at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The Prefontaine Classic is an annual stop on track and field’s international Diamond League circuit.

Girlfriend

Sha’Carri Richardson is currently dating her girlfriend in 2021. She came out as bisexual in 2015. Athletes and actors cause a lot of stir among fans base when talking about relationship. She has not revealed her name yet.

Adopted

Sha’Carri Richardson was raised by her grandmother, Betty, and aunt. The context of her relationship with her biological mother is unknown, but she previously told reporters her family dynamic is a “very, very, very confusing and sensitive topic”.

But she also said of her mother: “I am grateful for her giving me life, bringing me into this world.”

Mother

Richardson, who was called a “gold-medal favorite” in the women’s 100 meters”, failed a drug test that disqualified her from competing in the upcoming Olympic games. However, it turns out that the 21-year-old used the drug to deal with her mother’s death.

In June, Richardson won the 100-meter race after completing it in just under 11 seconds, but just a few days before, she was told by a reporter that her biological mother had passed away. Richardson used weed, which is legal in the state of Oregon, to cope with the news and get through it all.
