Yep, Serena really was a great winner tonight against Annette, who is a phenomenal tennis player in her own right.

It was not a straight game for Serena, she was told to work hard. After three entertaining sets, she won 7-6, 2-6, 6-2 to progress to the next round.

Despite the loss, Annette deserves a lot of credit. Not many can say that he won a set over Serena, that too by two out of six games. However, the American still managed to come out on top, and deservedly won the match.

Commenting on her win after the match, Serena said: “I’m a very good player. That’s what I do best. I love a challenge, I like to rise to the challenge.”
