Retirement
Sebastian Vettel will leave Ferrari at the end of this season after wearing a red suit for five years. The 4-time world champion has announced his decision to move away from F1 after 2020. Furthermore, there has been no official word from Ferrari regarding his replacement, but a certain Mercedes driver is set to replace him.
Vettel had 3 options for 2021 – to retire, renegotiate or transfer. As a result, the German driver has opted to hang up his racing boots and spend time with his family. Ferrari officially announced Vettel’s retirement through their social media accounts.
Sadly, Seb’s dream of winning the World Championship with the Red Team did not become a reality. As a child, Vettel’s last wish was to emulate his hero Michael Schumacher. Alas, Ferrari’s long wait for another world championship continues.
