Former AFL star Sam Fisher has been charged with regularly trafficking large quantities of illicit drugs across state borders.
Police raided a Bay Rd address in the Melbourne suburb of Sandringham early on Wednesday morning and seized methylamphetamine, 1,4-Butanediol and a Mercedes Benz, all alleged to be the proceeds of crime.

The 39-year-old did not appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday evening, and the matter was adjourned until August 10.
Fisher’s lawyer said he preferred to stay in custody. Fisher played 228 AFL games for the Saints from 2004 to 2016, making one All-Australian team and playing in three grand finals.
The investigation began after WA Police seized a parcel on April 20 containing $129,000 that was allegedly being sent to a Melbourne address.
