Sam Burns is the 2021 and 2022 Valspar Championship winner, earning his third PGA Tour win and first successful title defense on the PGA Tour. Burns’ wife, Caroline Campbell, has been an important part of his journey.
The pair got engaged in 2019 and have since married. Campbell and Burns had been dating for four years when Burns popped the question. Burns went to LSU, where he starred on the golf team.

The 24-year-old from Louisiana took her first win at last week’s Valspar Championships, after finishing 5th in the strokes gand: tee-to-green.
Since his first full season on the PGA Tour in 2019, Burns has climbed 106 places in the GIR rankings from 149th to 43rd. The significant increase in accuracy is a sign that it is slowly gaining ground on the big stage.
Putt
Sam Burns is a winner again at the Valspar Championships, this time with a lot of tension and a lot of emotion.
Burns hit a birdie putt hole just over 30 feet on the 16th hole to defeat Davis Riley on the second playoff hole, giving him three PGA Tour wins in his last 22 starts.
Burns, who closed with 2-under 69, is the second straight back-to-back winner at Innisbruck after Paul Casey’s consecutive wins in 2018 and 2019. The tournament was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
