Ryan Fox’s quest to qualify for next month’s US Open continues after a spectacular performance in the second round of the Dutch Open on Saturday.
A top 10 player in a four-event stretch on the European Tour, which includes the British Masters, where Fox finished ninth, and the Soudal Open where he finished in part of second, earns a spot at the US Open.
Fox is fourth in that four-event ranking and while he doesn’t play at the European Open next week, a solid performance in the Netherlands should be enough to secure a berth for the year’s third major.
Hopes of a trip to Massachusetts were raised after shooting five-under 67 at Bernards Golf Club to go seven-under for the tournament.
