Russell Wilson left an absurd cringe quote after losing to the Colts.

The Broncos lost to the Colts on Thursday night at 12-9, and are the opening leaders for their worst game of the year. It was not watchable football.

What did Wilson do when the offense scored a total of nine points and threw two interceptions? He ended his press conference with “Broncos Country, Let’s Ride.”

I’ve long been a defender of Russell Wilson and some of his crappy behavior, but this one is just too hard to defend.

The whole “let’s ride” mantra is bad enough, and should be thrown in the trash. It’s terrible and nobody wants to hear it.

However, leaving “Let’s Ride” after a 12-9 loss to a Colts team that didn’t even feature Jonathan Taylor is beyond trouble.

Subway commercial

Wilson’s ad for “Dangerwich” — a Subway sandwich made by Wilson with 12 different ingredients — made the rounds before Week 4 in late September.

The ad was originally posted in May 2022. It was supposed to be a fourth-wall breaking experience in which the audience thought they were conversing with Wilson. Instead, many viewers found themselves uncomfortable or left out by the delivery of lines.

Below is a look at the ad, which many people were able to capture before it was pulled from Twitter and TikTok:

Wilson’s ad attracted attention at first, but went viral after it was brought to the attention of Twitter users following the Broncos’ 2-1 season debut. Many on social media scoffed at the “serial killer” vibes that emanated from Wilson during the ad, as well as his insistence that the sandwich be “spicy”.

Ultimately, the Seahawks agreed to trade Wilson to the Broncos in exchange for players and selections. The Broncos picked Wilson and one draft pick, while the Seahawks picked five picks and three active players, including a former first-round pick.
