Roy Levesta Jones Jr (born January 16, 1969) is an American former professional boxer, commentator, and trainer who holds dual American and Russian citizenship.

Antonio Tarver vs. Roy Jones Jr., billed as “Now It’s Personal”, was a professional boxing match contested on November 8, 2003 for the vacant WBA title, Tarver’s WBC light-heavyweight championship, Jones’ IBO and The Ring light-heavyweight championships.
Jones appeared weakened and slower after dropping a significant amount of weight in order to get back down to the 175 pound light heavyweight limit, while Tarver performed a lot better than most people expected, but Jones was nevertheless able to pick up a disputed majority decision victory.
