In the days leading up to Saturday’s card, on which Modafari (25–19 MMA, 4–7 UFC) faces emerging contender Casey O’Neill (8–0 MMA, 3–0 UFC), “The Happy Warrior”. “Tries to concentrate as much as he can. It wasn’t your typical cage proposition, but Roxanne Modafari is now engaged in her boyfriend Chris Roman’s Titan FC 73 after a no-contest.

Roman took an illegal knee to the head from Asa Ten Pau just 21 seconds into the fight, and the match was declared a no-contest. But that didn’t stop him from securing another victory when he fell on one knee and said yes to Modaferi.

Despite a wide gap between her striking stats, Roxanne Modafari went the distance with Casey O’Neill and convinced a Texas judge that she was the winner of her retirement fight – via a 29–28 scoreline – in the UFC in 271.

The remaining two judges ruled O’Neill the winner by split decision with a two-point score of 29–28, but the crowd at Toyota Center refused to acknowledge his performance, shouting loudly as he spoke and Modaferi took the mic after the fight.
