Last season, when Rodney McLeod tore his ACL 35 snaps into the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 14 triumph over the New Orleans Saints, it left many in the City of Brotherly Love devastated.

McLeod, 31, tore his ACL against the Saints in Week 14 last December. During training camp, he envisioned returning for the regular-season opener against Atlanta, but the team decided to push it back a few weeks.

What happened

He tore his ACL against the New Orleans Saints on December 13, 2020, and was later placed on injured reserve, thereby ending his season. McLeod was placed on injured reserve on December 16, 2020.

Last season, the 10-year veteran appeared in 13 games for the Eagles, racking up 66 tackles and one interception before tearing his ACL against the Saints, effectively ending his 2020 season. McLeod is a valuable member of the Eagles’ secondary and looks to be the starter in Week 1.
