Rob Gronkowski was briefly under WWE contract in 2020. He pinned Dean Muhtadi at WrestleMania 36 to win the 24/7 Championship. Gronkowski lost the 24/7 title and left WWE when he invoked a release clause in his contract that required him to return. His NFL retirement to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Unretiring
While Gronk contemplated retirement this off-season and the off-season before that, he ultimately decided to step away from the game to begin a life after football.
Some thought that Gronk could sign after training camp, pre-season or the start of the season, but there is still no indication that Gronk will return.
Sparking rumors
Rob Gronkowski’s latest tweet fueled the rumors. It sounds like a fairy tale but it is 100% true. However, after the 2021–22 season, Gronk retired once again and this time, it appeared he had no plans to return to competition.
However, Tom, who announced his retirement earlier this year, decided to retire within a few weeks and since then, there has been a lot of speculation about the second coming of Gronk.
