The club announced today that Dallas has signed homegrown Ricardo Pepi to a new, five-year contract through 2026. Per team policy, the terms of the deal will not be disclosed.

“I am very happy to give my all to FC Dallas,” Pepy said. “I want to thank the club for placing faith in me. This is a big step forward in my career, personally and for my family.”

Pepi, 18, scored 11 goals in all competitions for FC Dallas and recorded two assists, including his first MLS career hat-trick against the LA Galaxy on July 24, 2021. He is the youngest player in the history of MLS and FC Dallas to score a hat-trick at 18 years and 196 days, which already surpassed the MLS record at 18 years and 283 days set by Kekuta Manne in 2013. He has earned two MLS Team of the Week honors this season and was named Player of the Week on July 26 following his hat-trick against the Galaxy at Toyota Stadium.

He signed with FC Dallas on June 21, 2019 at the age of 16 years and 163 days as the 26th homegrown, making him the fourth youngest player in the club’s history behind Brian Reynolds, Dante Seely and Jesus Ferreira . He is the first true route player at FC Dallas Academy after starting his football career at FC Dallas-El Paso affiliate, then signed with FC Dallas’ USL League One affiliate North Texas SC on December 6, 2018, and finally senior Team .
