Reece Walsh (born 10 July 2002) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a fullback for the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL.

Baby:
Walsh’s baby daughter Leila Arohamauroa was straight into his arms after that NRL debut against the Storm, while an extensive family contingent were on hand in Melbourne for his jersey presentation and impressive first game.
Walsh has Australian Indigenous heritage on his father’s side and has Maori heritage through his birth mother, who is from Hastings.

Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George has confirmed fullback Reece Walsh was arrested following an incident on the Gold Coast last night.
He said he had met Walsh this morning and had informed the NRL Integrity Unit.
George added while the matter is under investigation the club would not be making further comment until a later stage.
Drugs:
Reece Walsh will undergo drug and alcohol counseling after he was caught in possession of cocaine and arrested by police on the Gold Coast overnight.
The 19-year-old was holding back tears on Sunday afternoon as he made a video statement alongside Warriors CEO Cameron George explaining the incident.
Apology:
Walsh, who burst onto the scene this season after a mid-year switch from the Broncos, offered a tearful explanation.
“I got myself into a bit of trouble and want to tell you guys the real story,” he said.
Walsh said he was arrested and taken to a police station where he was searched.
