Chelsea have announced the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Lauren James.
The woman player is the younger sister of Chelsea’s Reece James and has long been a target of the club.
The signing of James from Manchester United on a four-year deal has been completed.
The transfer was reportedly supposed to set a record fee for the Women’s Super League, although it is now believed to be just £50,000 with several bonuses and addons to make the deal up to £200,000.
Hana Blundell will move in the other direction as part of the deal.
James has been at Manchester United for the past three seasons, having previously come through the youth system at Chelsea, like his brother Reece.
