For the second straight week, the Ravens found themselves caught up in a thrilling, down-to-the-wire matchup in primetime. Unlike last Monday night, they came out on top this time around, toppling the Chiefs in epic fashion by a score of 36-35.

So much has been made of the Ravens’ struggles against the Chiefs over the past few seasons. Heading into this game, it felt like the Ravens were less-equipped to pull off a victory against Kansas City than in 2019 and 2020.

Oweh:

Odafe Jayson Oweh is an American football outside linebacker for the Baltimore of the National Football League. He played college football at Penn State and was drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Personal information
Born: December 15, 1998 (age 22)
Hackensack, New Jersey
Height: 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m)
Weight: 251 lb (114 kg)

But Oweh failed to make much of an impact as a pass rusher this preseason. In three games, he finished with just two assisted tackles.

In fact, he made more headlines for his use as a gunner on special teams than for anything he did on defense. And that’s perfectly OK.

Chiefs Highlights:

As Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire rushed up the middle to the Ravens’ 32-yard-line, Oweh burst through the offensive line to strip the ball away and recover it to help the Ravens secure a 36-35 victory at M&T Bank Stadium. Oweh ran to the end zone with his teammates while 70,417 fans jumped from their seats in celebration.

Match:

When the Baltimore spent a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft on Penn state edge defender Odafe Oweh, some wondered whether or not it was worth it, considering Oweh didn’t have a single sack for the Nittany Lions in 2020.
