Cause of death

The Ghana striker, who was suffering from cardiac problems, died after collapsing on the pitch at the age of 28. A Ghana international striker has died on the field six years after a proposed move to the Premier League failed due to a heart condition.
Heart problem
In 2020, Dwamena underwent successful heart surgery, a year after being diagnosed with a pulmonary condition. Dwamena, who won nine caps and scored two goals for his country, collapsed during a 2021 Cup match between his side Blau-Weiss Linz and Hartberg in Austria.
Wife
Mavis Acheampong, who came from Ghana and worked as a nurse, was reportedly Raphael Dwamena’s wife.
