Randy Gregory (born November 23, 1992) is an American football defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Nebraska, and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Suspension
Dallas Cowboys pass-rusher Randy Gregory has been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Gregory’s attorney Daniel Moskowitz discussed the news with USA TODAY’s Jory Epstein:
“The hope for Randy is exactly the same: to get him back on the field playing as soon as possible. Our personal confidence in him has not wavered. This is about much more than football. We appreciate the public knows this is a private matter And thank you to the Jones (family) and the Cowboys for their continued support.”
Gregory appeared in 16 games in 2018 – including the postseason – after being conditionally reinstated by the league in July.
He has faced discipline on several occasions since entering the league in 2015, and in his four-year career he has yet to play all 16 regular season games in a single season. An ankle injury caused him to miss four games as a rookie in 2015 — and then his off-field issues emerged.

Throughout his career, 30-year-old Randy Gregory has amassed 106 tackles, 19.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 60 career games, including 18 starts. He initially entered the NFL when he was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
