Raheem Morris (born September 3, 1976) is an American football coach who is the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams from 2021 to 2023 and the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011 and interim head coach of the Atlanta Falcons in 2020. Morris was also an assistant coach for the Falcons. , Washington Redskins, and Buccaneers.

Prior to his years in Atlanta, Morris was the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years from 2009–11, before coming to Atlanta in 2015 to serve with the then-Washington Redskins as their defensive backs coach.

Coaching history

Before getting the call to coach in the NFL, Raheem Morris was the defensive backs coach at his alma mater, Hofstra. Morris was working his way up at the collegiate level before being recruited by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002 to become their defensive quality coach. Of course, the Newark, New Jersey native accepted the job offer and thus began his career in the NFL.

Raheem Morris served as the defensive quality coach at Tampa Bay for just one season before being promoted to defensive assistant in 2003. Serving in that capacity, Morris and the rest of the defensive staff contributed to making the Buccaneers one of the better organized defenses. In the league.

Following the 2005 NFL season, Morris left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NFL to join Kansas State University as their defensive coordinator. He served in the role for only one season before the Buccaneers invited him back to the NFL with an offer to become the defensive backs coach.
