Rafael Nadal and his wife Mery Perello have a lot to celebrate, with the champion’s recent Grand Slam wins in Australia and Paris and the news that the couple are expecting their first baby.
Mery showed up to support her husband on Wednesday as he battled for a place in the Wimbledon semi-finals, showcasing her sweet baby bump as she did so.
Wife job:
Mery ‘Xisca’ Perello is the wife of the famous tennis star Rafael Nadal. She works as a Project Director in Nadal’s charity, The Rafa Nadal Foundation.
Rafa and his longtime girlfriend Maria Francisca Perelló met for the first time through his younger sister Maribel. Maria and Maribel met at school. The couple started dating at the tail end of their teenage years ? he was 19 and she was 17.
Wife wedding dress:
Not only did Rafael Nadal’s wife Mery Perelló wear a royal-approved designer at her wedding, but she also appeared to have taken inspiration from the Duchess of Sussex when designing the beautiful second wedding dress she changed into for her wedding reception.
Mery, who is the wife of professional tennis player and French Open finalist Rafael Nadal, wore a beautiful long-sleeved Rosa Clara dress for her wedding ceremony in October 2019, later changing into a sleeveless halterneck design reminiscent of the Stella McCartney dress Meghan wore at her royal wedding reception in May 2018.
Also designed by Rosa Clara, the second dress has an open back and high neck with a fitted silhouette similar to the Duchess’ gown. However, while Meghan’s was crafted from a plain crepe fabric, Mery’s dress features jewel embellishment all over, so she would have sparkled as she danced the evening away with her husband and their guests.
