Karolina Hrdlikova (née Plikova; Czech pronunciation born 21 March 1992) is a Czech professional tennis player. She is the former world No. 1 player in singles after reaching the top of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings on 17 July 2017 and holding the position for eight weeks.[6] On 31 October 2016, she became the world No. 1 player in the doubles rankings. Reached number 11. Known for her powerful serve and forehand, Pliskova has won 16 singles and five doubles titles on the WTA Tour, 10 singles and six doubles titles on ITF Circuit, and more than $20 million in prize money. She has reached two Grand Slam singles finals at the 2016 US Open and the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. As a junior, Pliskova won the girls’ singles event at the 2010 Australian Open. She has also played for Czech Republic in Fed Cup competition.

Changes continue in the life of Kristina Pliskova. She recently got engaged to longtime boyfriend David Hanko this summer after Wimbledon. And now, the couple is expecting their first child. Pliskova announced the news on Instagram on Monday.
