The Steelers, whose history can be traced to a regional pro team founded in the early 1920s, joined the NFL as the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 8, 1933. The team was owned by Art Rooney and took its original name from the baseball team. Of the same name, as was common for NFL teams at the time. To distinguish them from the baseball team, local media referred to the football team as the Rooneymen, an unofficial nickname that took decades after the team adopted its current surname. remained till The Steelers have been owned by the Rooney family since the organization’s inception. Art Rooney’s son, Dan Rooney, owned the team from 1988 until his death in 2017. Much control of the franchise has been passed on to Dan Rooney’s son, Art Rooney II.
The Steelers enjoy a large, extensive fanbase known as Steeler Nation. They currently play their home games at Acresur Stadium on Pittsburgh’s North Side in the North Shore neighborhood, which also hosts the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. Built in 2001 as Heinz Field, the stadium replaced Three Rivers Stadium, which hosted the Steelers for 31 seasons. Prior to Three Rivers, the Steelers played their games at Pitt Stadium and Forbes Field.

Rumors
Other injuries, Damonte Cazi and Carlins Platel, are being classified as more serious. Kazi suffered an upper body injury and appeared on the sidelines with a sling on his left hand. Patel was in the locker room with a brace on his knee.
The Steelers’ debut played most of the first half against the Detroit Lions, with Watt’s injury coming in the second quarter and Kazi in the third quarter. Tomlin, however, did not regret the decision, saying, “You can’t box without being spared.”
Pittsburgh now has two weeks to recover ahead of their Week 1 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.
