This is a list of fifty golfers who have won the most official (or later historically significant) money events on the PGA Tour. It is headed by Sam Snead and Tiger Woods.
Many players won important events in the early 20th century, prior to the formation of the tour with a record by the PGA of America. At various times, the PGA has rescheduled the status of some tournaments. In the 1980s, the importance of all historical tournaments was redirected by golf historians, working closely with the PGA Tour staff during a major statistical research project. The Open Championship was first recognized as an official tour event in 1995.
Since 1975, only three players have won PGA events since their 50th birthday, the age at which golfers become eligible to compete on PGA Tour Champions: Craig Stadler won at age 50 in 2003, Fred Funk won at age 50 in 2007, and Davis. Love III won at the age of 51 in 2015. Sam Snade is the oldest to win the PGA event in 1965 at the age of 52. Others who have won the PGA event at age 50 include Jim Barnes, John Barnum and Art wall Jr.

Midseason Awards
This week, just six of the world’s top 50 male golfers placed it on the Honda Classic. Some showed the relatively palette as a sad sign for a one-time great tournament. But I considered it equivalent to golf’s all-star break. This year’s six major Supersensors debuted last September, for the top players in the game to go, go, go and believe that through the slate of PGA Tour events this year, we don’t actually have more than half that Huh. Can’t play the best in the world every week.
And just as Rory McElroy got a chance to take a deep breath last week, so did we, the golfing public. Now we have a chance to reflect the magnificent golf we have already seen this season. I have always found the awards to be attractive. On the contrary, I have always received Prescription Awards which are useless. With this in mind, I am hoping that Midsonson will hit the slate beach ground under the PGA Awards, equal parts engaging and useless.
