Petr Mrazek is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League. He was selected in the fifth round, 141st overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, with whom he spent the first portion of his NHL career.

Mrazek was injured during a collision with Hurricanes forward Max McCormick 2:47 into the first period of a 4-1 win against the Dallas Stars at PNC Arena on Saturday.
James Reimer made 10 saves in relief. Mrazek was 2-1-0 in four games this season. He leads the NHL in goals-against average (0.99), save percentage

Mrazek (lower body) is not dressed for Tuesday’s matchup with the Stars, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes‘ official site reports.
Mrazek will sit out his fourth straight game due to the injury. In his stead, Alex Nedeljkovic and James Reimer continue to tend the twine.

He grew up in Ostrava, the third-largest city in the Czech Republic, and played in the Czech Extraliga before joining the OHL.

Mrazek will be able to test the free agent market on July 28, but according to Pierre LeBurn there have been talks with the Hurricanes.
He is reporting that Carolina is also talking to Jonathan Bernier, who is a pending UFA as well, after the netminder was acquired from Detroit on Thursday.
