The 2021 Illinois vs Penn State football game was a regular season college football game between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Penn State Nittany Lions played on October 23, 2021 at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania. The game broke the record for most overtime in an NCAA Division I FBS game, as Illinois upset Penn State 20–18 in nine overtimes. However, it is not the longest Division I football game played due to the new overtime rules.
