Net Worth

Paul Millsap

Paul Millsap was a member of the Grambling High School basketball team, the Kittens. In 2003, he was ranked 31st among power forwards and 115th overall. He plays basketball for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in college. In 92 games with the squad, he averaged 18.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks.

The Utah Jazz selected him with the 47th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. In 2007, Millsap was named to the NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team. He signed a two-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks after a seven-year tenure with the Utah Jazz.

Bulls

This season, Patrick Williams appears to be primed to anchor the frontcourt slot in the starting lineup, but the depth behind him is at best limited.

DeMar DeRozan has played the position before in various small-ball combinations, but he’ll be spending the majority of his time in the starting five with Williams.

Another candidate is Marko Simonovic (the 2019 second-round pick is a versatile big man who has flashed the ability to play along the perimeter overseas). Unfortunately, we have yet to see what that looks like in the NBA, and starting the season depending too much on him at either frontcourt slot would be more than a gamble.

News and Rumors

Paul Millsap

Patrick Williams is set to anchor the frontcourt slot in this season’s starting lineup, but the depth behind him is at its best.

DeMar DeRozan has a lot of experience playing positions in some short-ball lineups, but will also eat up most of his minutes with Williams in the opening five.

Marko Simonovic is another option (the 2019 second-round pick is a versatile big man who has shown his ability to play with the perimeter overseas). Unfortunately, we haven’t yet seen what that looks like at the NBA level, and starting the season relying heavily on that at any frontcourt location would be more of a risk.
