Patrick LaVon Mahomes (born August 9, 1970) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball from 1992 to 2003 with the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Mahomes also played in Nippon Professional Baseball for two seasons, 1997 and 1998, with the Yokohama BayStars. He last played in 2009 with the Grand Prairie AirHogs of the independent American Association.

Arrested
The father of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was arrested in Tyler, Texas, on Saturday night on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to online jail records.
Patrick Mahomes Sr., 54, is charged with driving while intoxicated, third degree or more, and his bail has been set at $10,000. He was released from the Smith County Jail Sunday afternoon.
The charge is a third-degree felony and is punishable by up to 10 years in prison if convicted under state law.
His arrest comes just a week before his son plays against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
Mahomes Sr. pleaded guilty to a previous DWI arrest in Texas in 2018 and was sentenced to 40 days in jail, which he served over the weekend.
A former major league pitcher, he played for six teams over 11 seasons from 1992 to 2003.
The right-hander was 42–39 with a 5.47 ERA in 308 career games (63 starts) for the Twins, Red Sox, Mets, Rangers, Cubs and Pirates. He was a part of the 1999 NL playoffs with the Mets.

The former MLB pitcher described the “Cruel Summer” singer as “very nice and genuine and everything,” adding upon meeting her, he also learned she’s “very down to earth.”
“Someone that’s famous, you never know how that’s going to go,” he added.
According to Pat Sr., the first time he and Swift crossed paths at a Chiefs game, he went to introduce himself, and she recognized him from Netflix’s Quarterback docuseries before thanking him for letting her be in the suite, although the former baseball star noted it actually belonged to his son’s wife, Brittany Mahomes.
