She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Marie; four children, Steven Hutchinson, Joseph Marie, Timothy Marie (Jamie), and Julie Freeman (Jay); A granddaughter, Chloe Hutchinson, and a grandson, Jackson Marie, are expected in February; siblings, Donna Baker, Linda Hutchinson (Russell), and Roger Sims (Arlene); and nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Patricia is survived by her parents, Joseph and Celeste Sims, and two brothers, Joe and Greg Sims.

Biography
The 24-year-old woman from Gilbert, New Jersey, was an attorney for her daughter, Shannon, who went missing in May 2010. The investigation into Shannon’s disappearance led to the discovery of the remains of 10 murder victims scattered along the Ocean Parkway in New York. Investigators believed that Shannon died of an accidental drowning unrelated to the crimes of the Long Island serial killer, but Gilbert challenged the finding and referred to the case as a murder investigation. Struggled to reopen. An independent autopsy sought by Gilbert’s family found that Shannan may have been strangled to death. Gilbert and his other daughters, Sarah and Shere, often appeared on television shows discussing the matter. .
