Novak Djokovic won the trophy last year by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final and will look to defend his trophy this year. The Serbian will get €836,355 if he wins the trophy again. If he reaches the final and loses he will receive €456,720 and will be offered €249,740 in the semi-finals.
The 2022 Paris Masters returns a huge prize pool with a very strong event that attracted some of the best in Djokovic, Nadal, Alcaraz and the City of Love.

This event is the last ATP 1000 event of the season and the last chance to make a big push for the ATP Finals. The event is usually packed with all the best as it is a good warm-up for the ATP Finals that follows.

Predictions

These two old foes come together for one last match, the 19th match of their illustrious career, one of which could end here. Gilles Simon has announced that the 2022 season will be his last as the 37-year-old has been ruled out of the main tour and has largely been unable to be a threat at Challenger level.

Meanwhile, Murray has his most winning season since 2017 with a 29-19 record. Simon comes in with questions about his fitness as he withdrew from the Brest challenger in the quarter-final stage last week. With the one-off as our face-off here, we have to predict Murray to win it, although the two haven’t played since 2016. Britain’s indoor tough results in recent weeks have been far from surprising, but with a win, like Alejandro Davydovich Fokina or Roman Safiulin, they should handle Simon’s level here.

Draw

The draw has been confirmed for the Paris Masters which will take place between 31 October – 6 November 2022 and will serve as the season before the ATP Finals head to Turin.

As a result, it is a tournament that features big names like Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Kasper Rudd, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Taylor Fritz.

With Alcaraz receiving a bye for Aslan Karatsev or Yoshihito Nishioka in the second round, Nadal could face Tommy Paul or Roberto Bautista Agut again. Whereas for Djokovic it will be Diego Schwartzman or Maxim Cressey.

Top first round ties include Andy Murray – Gilles Simon, Sebastian Korda – Alex de Minaur and Holger Rune – Stan Wawrinka.
