Covid list:

The Packers’ receiver room is going to look a lot different on “Thursday Night Football” against the Cardinals than it normally does.

Green Bay’s top two receivers this season are currently on the COVID list. Davante Adams tested positive for the virus on Monday, and that will likely render him inactive in Week 8. Allen Lazard, who is unvaccinated, is also out after being a close contact of Adams.

Vs Cardinals:

Cobb has played nearly 40 percent of the Packers’ offensive snaps this season. That’s good for third-most on the team behind Adams and Lazard. With those two out, Cobb will surely operate in an expanded role and given his long history with Rodgers, he will certainly see a fair amount of targets.

Cobb has averaged 2.6 targets a game for two catches and 25.6 yards this season. You can expect those numbers to increase drastically, as he’s due to play a majority of the snaps for the first time in his second stint with the Packers.

The Packers-Cardinals “Thursday Night Football” game lived up to the hype. Green Bay (7-1) handed Arizona (7-1) its first loss of the season after Rasul Douglas intercepted a Kyler Murray pass in the end zone on Arizona’s last play of the game. The Packers won 24-21.

The last few minutes of the game were a roller-coaster. With 4:46 remaining, Aaron Jones’ rush into the end zone was called a touchdown but then overturned upon review and marked short.

Vs Cardinals injury:

Players from the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals had to be carted off the field on Thursday night during their game after colliding in the third quarter.

On a kickoff, Packers returner Kylin Hill brought the ball out of the end zone to about his own 9-yard line when he was met by Cardinals player Jonathan Ward. Hill was hit in the midsection by Ward and the replay at full speed showed just how scary the play was.
