Kansas will take on the undefeated Oklahoma Sooners (7-0, 4-0 in Big 12), at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The Jayhawks (1-6, 0-4 in Big 12) came in search of their first conference victory of the season, as they looked to end a five-game losing streak. The Sooners (8-0, 5-0 in Big 12) were the favorites to come away with the win on the road. A victory would have given Kansas head coach Lance Leipold his first signature victory leading the program.

Score:

FINAL: Oklahoma 35, Kansas 23

Kansas nearly pulled off the upset, but ended up losing 35-23. It was nearly a signature win for the Jayhawks, but the Sooners recovered and kept their winning streak alive.

Will this provide Kansas much needed momentum moving forward? Time will tell. But this is arguably Kansas’ best performance of the year.
