Undefeated at 23-0 with 14 knockouts, 37-year-old Oleksandr Usyk from Crimea, Ukraine, is a former undisputed cruiserweight champion who transitioned to the heavyweight division in 2019. Since then, he has secured seven straight wins, highlighted by a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Joshua in 2021 to claim the WBO, WBA, and IBF titles. Usyk solidified his dominance by defeating Joshua again in their rematch 11 months later, successfully retaining his belts.

Live

Oleksandr Usyk secured a stunning victory over Tyson Fury in their highly anticipated rematch, successfully defending his unified heavyweight world titles in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Ukrainian champion had previously defeated Fury by decision in May, earning the distinction of becoming the first-ever four-belt heavyweight champion. Once again, Usyk triumphed by a unanimous points decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112 in his favor.

This victory solidifies Usyk’s unbeaten professional record at 23-0, further cementing his legacy in the sport. With the IBF title he lost earlier this year potentially up for grabs, he could be set to face Daniel Dubois in an effort to reclaim it.

For Fury, the loss leaves him at a pivotal juncture in his career. His promoter, Frank Warren, hinted that it’s still uncertain whether the 36-year-old British fighter will retire or continue in the ring.
