The Oklahoma Sooners softball team is a softball team that represents the University of Oklahoma in the sport of women’s softball.
The Sooners participate in the Big 12 Conference, and play their home games at the OU Softball Complex. Oklahoma has won its conference title 13 times, competed in the NCAA Tournament 27 times, been in the NCAA Women’s College World Series 14 times, and won the NCAA championship four times. The Sooners won their first national championship in 2000. Harvard, Cal-State Northridge and Oregon State swept their home regions to advance to their first appearance in the Women’s College World Series. They defeated California and defeated Southern Mississippi and Arizona to advance to the championship game against UCLA. They defeated UCLA 3β1 to win their first national title.

Florida State was named as the home team for this game. Seminole ace Katherine Sandercock takes the ball. Tiare Jennings opened the game for Oklahoma with a double to right field. Jocelyn Allo toured four pitches. Kinzie Henson bounces off Sidney Sherrill for third.
Sherrill steps on the bag and then fires first for a sleek double play. Nicole Mendes then walked off the field to end the innings. Giselle Juarez walks in the circle for the Sooners. Sherrill had an out infield single. Elizabeth Mason came up and slammed the pitch 3-1 on the left wall of centerfield. FSU took a 2-0 lead.
