Winners
Star Australian drivers Cameron Hart and Swayze won the $750,000 New Zealand Trotting Cup in Christchurch on Tuesday.
Despite a spirited challenge from Akuta under Rolleston’s co-trainer and driver Mark Purdon, Swayze won the prestigious 3200 meter race at Addington Raceway.
It’s no wonder that the victorious Hart held his whip high as he and the five-year-old gelding passed the post.
Australian coach Jason Grimson praised Hart after the win, as several members of his supporting squad celebrated behind him.
