Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev will meet for the 10th time in Paris on Saturday. If you’ve never bet on this particular matchup before, you should know that it will always be a borderline pick-em up on a hard court. Unless Zverev faces Medvedev on clay, it will always be extremely difficult to predict the outcome of the match, as these two players are almost equally matched in every department.

Zverev has won five of his nine careers, but lost to Medvedev in last year’s championship match. According to the oddsmakers, Medvedev is listed as a minor -130 favorite and is projected to win by 1 game in total.

There are countless factors to consider when analyzing the probable outcome of a tennis match, but nothing is more important than the surface of the court. While Paris always plays very slow, this year is peaking, and Medvedev is not a fan.
