Together since they were 16 years old, Jokić and Natalija married in Sombor in October 2020, tying the knot with family, friends, and a sick fog machine.

This past October, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter called Ognjena, which means “fiery.”

They are huge, muscular, and could bring down most men. Nikola Jokić has two older brothers, Strahinja Jokić being the eldest while Nemanja Jokić being the middle child.

Earlier in July 2021, a brawl broke out between Nikola and Suns’ Devin Booker. The eldest of the trio, Strahinja Jokić, went crazy by the courtside.

The Denver Nuggets live to fight another day, hanging on to beat the Golden State Warriors, 126-121, on Sunday to force a Game 5 back in San Francisco.

Nikola Jokic was the orchestrator on offense, as usual, putting up 37 points, eight rebounds and six assists, but he received plenty of help, with huge plays from Monte Morris, Aaron Gordon and Will Barton down the stretch.

Illness:

Jokic, who sat courtside with his wrist in a brace, appeared to be hurt the night before in a home loss to Philadelphia. Coach Michael Malone said he didn’t believe the injury would sideline Jokic for long, but had no timetable for his return.

“I don’t think it’s going to be a long-term thing at all, but at the same time, I don’t want to put him out there if he can only play with one hand,” Malone said.

“Unfair to ask him to do that. When he’s ready to play, he’ll play. That could be against Phoenix, that could be in a week. There’s no timeline at this point.”

Highlights:

Nikola Jokić finally was able to carry the Nuggets to victory. He scored 18 first-quarter points and finished with 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga were the only Dubs defenders who had any semblance of success slowing down the reigning MVP.

The Warriors’ offense was abysmal in the first quarter. Golden State shot just 30.8% from the field and only had two trips to the free-throw line.
