Nick Saban, known for being Nick Saban, is definitely known for Nikah.

Location A. There was nothing at the press conference this Saturday about issues that could deliver the Tennessee Crimson Tide.

“They [Tennessee] are an excellent team, they are undefeated. Josh [Heppel] did a really, really good job. Probably one of the most explosive offenses, if not the most explosive offense in the country,” Saban said. “The quarterback, Hooker, has done a really good job of executing his offense, he is one of the leading pass proficiencies in the country as well as the ability to extend plays and make plays with his feet. .. it’s a really really good team, a real challenge for us, and our priority is to fix ourselves.”

My guess is that there are few people who have watched more Alabama-Tennessee football games than me. I would also guess that this is a relatively small number.

The last area I was in Knoxville as a student in 1964. Bama quarterback Joe Namath suffered a knee injury last week against North Carolina State and there was some doubt as to whether he would play against Vol. Steve Sloan started the game, but my lasting memory is when Namath — typical for his white shoes — dropped out for limited duty. The feeling was electric.

I also watched the 1965 game from the end zone, Ken Stabler tossed the ball out of bounds to stop the clock… in fourth place. This left the score at 7-7 in the last second. The Tennessee players wanted to give their coach Doug Dickey a “victory” ride in midfield to meet Paul Bryant, and I remember Dickie refusing the ride. It was not a victory.

Alabama fans may be planning to smoke this weekend. This is Alabama-Tennessee and again one of the longest-running rivalries meeting the conference.

Saban previewed the volunteers and talked about the No. 3 tide with the latest on Bryce Young, some on the offensive line with PV from Grand Bay and a breakdown of the offense of Vol.

Here’s a rewind of Saban’s appearance on “Hey Coach.”

Saban said you just have to “do what you want” in building a relationship and “give more than you take” and “help more than you get” when offering advice for marriage.

–Saban said there was a lot of “self-indulgent” behavior against Texas A.
