Nicholas Lou Saban Jr. (born October 31, 1951) is an American football coach who has been the head football coach at the University of Alabama since 2007. Saban previously served as the head coach of the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins and three other universities. : Louisiana State University (LSU), Michigan State University and University of Toledo. Saban is considered by many to be the greatest coach in college football history.

Motivational speech
Billingsley made headlines for missing the opening of the fall camp. Saban responded to Billingsley’s absence at a press conference:
Saban said, “I think (his growth) has a lot to do with his level of commitment, which I talked about earlier, in terms of doing the right things, growing as a player. Case in point,” Saban said. “He has a lot of potential. He can contribute positively to the team. But he has to understand the principles and values of the team and be a good partner. Do the work that everyone else in the organization does so that he gets the respect of his teammates. Ho. We’re definitely trying to help him do that and hopefully he’ll be back with us in a few days. We’ll see how it all develops.”
It was later reported that Billingsley lost time as he had to clear the COVID-19 protocol. He eventually shows up, though his once safe place is now in danger. Last year, he caught 18 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns and was expected to be a frequent target for quarterback Bryce Young.
Now, he is working back on his coach’s good qualities.
After a team scuffle on 21 August Saban was asked about Billingsley’s depth chart position and responded in a way that only he could do:
“It’s up to him, it’s not up to me. He knows what he has to do in practice, he knows what he has to do. It’s not democracy.
