Nicholas Lou Saban Jr. ( born October 31, 1951)[3] is an American football coach who has been the head football coach at the University of Alabama since 2007. Saban previously served as the head coach of the National Football League. Miami Dolphins and at three other universities: Louisiana State University (LSU), Michigan State University and the University of Toledo. Saban is considered by many to be the greatest coach in college football history.

Bonus for winning sec championship
Alabama’s soccer coaches have more at stake than pride and satisfaction with a post-season achievement.
There are financial incentives to win.
Every coach has an incentive bonus built into his or her contract. Of course, Nick Saban has the highest and highest amount of money. For example, he would already take home $75,000 — over his salary — no matter what happens when No. 2 Alabama (11-1, 7-1 SEC) No. 1 Georgia (12-0, 8- 0) encounters. Saturday at the SEC Championship Game. If Alabama wins, that number increases to $125,000.
Saban has other bonuses available, but as a starting point, he will earn $8.7 million from his basic salary ($275,000) and talent fees ($8.425 million) from March 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022.
Here’s an analysis of how much each game is worth to each coach. The Sugar Bowl is listed as the most likely destination if Alabama does not reach the college football playoffs.
Assistant coaches can receive two performance bonuses related to the game. One by appearing in an SEC championship game and the other by a best finish. So if Alabama shows up in the Sugar Bowl, assistants will receive that bonus. Or, if Alabama wins the national championship, assistants will get that bonus. Bonuses are calculated on the basis of set percentages which are the same for each assistant.

It is a record that spanned 12 seasons and has spanned nine former assistants who became head coaches on 10 different teams. And Saban has beaten every single one of them – but one.
Sure, it’s absolutely no secret how Saban has achieved this feat. Ask Ole Miss coach and Alabama offensive coordinator Len Kiffin, who has lost to Saban twice since leaving Tuscaloosa:
“He’s undefeated versus almost everyone,” Kiffin said (via Clarion Ledger) ahead of Ole Miss’ 2011 game in Alabama. “There’s a reason he’s the best in the history of college football. Even when people know how his place works, he’s still undefeated, which is amazing.”

What’s Nick Saban’s Record Vs. Former Assistant?
Saban claimed a 25–1 record against his former assistants, a streak that began in 2010 against Tennessee coach Derek Dooley.
That victory officially ended on October 9, 2021 when Jimo Fisher’s unranked Aggies overtook No. 1 Alabama in College Station, 41–38. It also broke Alabama’s streak of 100 straight wins versus unreserved opponents.
Saban still has a chance to improve his record in the near future with Fischer coaching against Kiffin (Ole Miss) and Saban in the SEC West Division. There is also the possibility that he could meet Kirby Smart (Georgia) in the regular season or SEC Championship game.
