Jim Nantz, Frank Nobilo and Ian Baker-Finch in tears as parting ways
Sir Nick will reportedly be replaced by Masters winner Trevor Immelman
Golf and broadcast legend Sir Nick Faldo wept on Sunday as the CBS Punditry team bid for one of their favorites.

Faldo, who won six major championships, joined CBS’ golf broadcast team in 2006, going on to delight viewers with his humor, relatability and personality.

Commentator Jim Nantz led the tribute, praising the Englishman for standing out on and off the fairway.

During CBS’s broadcast of the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, NC, Nantz told Faldo, ‘You’ve been the best in the world twice, and my friend is extraordinary.

Golf legend Sir Nick Faldo is hanging up the TV broadcast headset and moving his family back to Montana full-time.

Faldo shared the news via Twitter earlier this week. In his official Pinnacle Sports and Entertainment statement, Faldo said that he, his wife Lindsay and their three Weimaraners have “relocated to the wondrous, welcoming and glorious state of Montana.” He added:

Nick Faldo: I’d like to spend more time with her (Lindsay), our dogs and assorted farm animals at our new, currently under construction farm, Faldo Farm. Once complete and the dust settled, our wish and hope is that life at Faldo Farms includes a future filled with visits from my children, grandchildren, Lindsay’s family, and all of our friends. As far as I’m concerned, I hope I can often be found back on the East Gallatin River with a rod, waiter, and local trout.

*For the record, it was the spelling of his waders…not mine.

Some might get the idea that Faldo won’t have much wealth since he became a broadcaster, but that’s not the case. According to Celebrity Net Worth Faldo is sitting on a comfortable $60 million net worth. In addition to the never-ending accolades, Faldo tried his hand at other ventures early in his career. In 1991 itself, he founded ‘Faldo Design’, which focused on golf course design practice. He also owns and loves his Carrera 4s.
