Is hurt
The Cleveland Browns are facing one of the worst run defenses in the league on Monday Night Football, but have only four carries so far to run back Nick Chubb. It was quite clear that Chub was in no hurry to end the half with Brown, as Karim Hunt is a 2-minute drill back and has been healthy throughout the season.
Chub, by all reports, is not injured, as the Browns try to take what they have been given, which is near. Unfortunately for Brown, Baker Mayfield and his receiver have been unable to add all that much so far. Mayfield has four balls to bat in the first half. With only 10-0 scores in Steelers’ favour, I expect Chubb to see an increase in work in the second half.
College
Chubb entered his true freshman season, leaving behind Todd Gurley as the starter and future NFL backup. After Gurley was suspended, Chubb took over as starter. On his first start, he ran for 143 yards on 38 carries in Missouri. In the next game, he ran for two touchdowns for 202 yards and 30 carries against Arkansas. In the 2014 Belk Bowl against Louisville, Chubb broke the bowl game record with 266 rushing yards and was named the Belk Bowl MVP. Chub finished his new season with 1,547 rushing yards, good for second place in the SEC, despite starting only eight games.
After the Alabama game on October 3, 2015, he tied with Herschel Walker for 13 consecutive 100-yard games. However, on October 10, 2015, Nick Chubb suffered a “strange knee injury” against Tennessee , prevented him from breaking the record. Due to this injury, he missed the rest of the 2015 season but returned for the 2016 season under new head coach Kirby Smart.
Stiff arm gif
It’s fair to say that Chub’s Rumble run may have been the most impressive of the year. He has phenomenal vision and the power of that stiff hand was unbelievable.
Chub is the real deal to run back. He made the Pro Bowl in 2019 after rushing for 1,494 yards and eight touchdowns. Sunday was only his sixth game of 2020 after dealing with a knee problem earlier in the season. But he’s gone over 100 yards in one week after another and definitely has some momentum working in his favor.

Is out
Brown will be running without both of his star on Sunday. Karim Hunt is on injured reserve with a calf injury, and now Nick Chubb will miss the game after testing positive for COVID-19.
Chew and backup running back Demetric Felton tested positive for the coronavirus this week. Players are vaccinated, opening the door for a timely return to Sunday’s game at the Patriots, but they are not cleared in time.
To return to play, Choub and Felton would need a pair of negative tests over a 24-hour period. That didn’t happen, which would put D’Ernest Johnson back in Cleveland’s backfield.
