Leg Injury
According to head coach Kevin Stefanski, Chubb suffered a calf injury against the Chargers and left the game late in the fourth quarter. With the injury, Chubb will be listed as week-to-week and will not play against the Cardinals in Week 6.
Before this season, Chubb knew how much work he’d have to put in to fully return from a knee injury. In 2015, he sustained a horrific knee dislocation with three ligament rips while playing for Georgia, but he returned for the whole 2016 season and retained his ranking as one of the best NFL running backs in the 2018 class.

The Cleveland Browns received some good news on Friday morning in the shape of running back Nick Chubb completing COVID-19 requirements, allowing him to return, according to his teammate David Njoku.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski stated that the team was unsure whether or not Chubb would be placed on Injured Reserve, and as of Oct. 19, Cleveland had yet to place him on the three-game suspension required by the NFL.
