Despite the matchups of the two worst teams in 2020, the figure remains one of the more exciting “Thursday Night Football” matchups of the year, with only two teams under center for two names. Joe Burrow put the Bengals in a promising position at the start of the season with a 2-1 record, including a recent win against the Steelers. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars haven’t had the same level of success, however, as they are 0-3 and Lawrence has more interceptions than touchdowns.

Still, the game’s two most recent No. 1 overall picks have some recent history that make it one to watch. Burrow and LSU won the 2019 national championship in a 42-25 victory against Lawrence and Clemson in a showcase of two of college football’s most dynamic offenses.

Power rankings

Oh baby. It’s not even October and the power rankings have turned upside down. Chaos pumping in my veins.

The Books and Chiefs both lost on Sunday, paving the way for a new No. We have five undefeated teams, but this week only two have made it to the top 10. Go ahead: feed me your anger. It takes care of me. This is @danhanzus on Twitter.

At the bottom of the rankings, we find the darkest timeline for New York (OK, Northern New Jersey) football. Things aren’t going so well for the hotshot first-round quarterback either.

OK, enough buildup. Let’s dive in the water in the early morning. Thanks for reading.

Halftime show 2022

Get ready for the most stacked Super Bowl halftime performers lineup ever.

Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre grace the stage together for the show on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Sophie Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The Giants’ monumental performance was announced Thursday by Pepsi, the NFL and Rock Nation.

It’s also a big moment for Los Angeles, as it’s the first time the City of Angels will host the Super Bowl in nearly 30 years, Variety reported, adding that Dre, Snoop, and Lamar are LA natives.

“The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, and to do it in my own backyard, would be one of the biggest thrills of my career,” Dr. Dre said. “I am grateful to Jay-Z, Rock Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi, as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, for having an unforgettable cultural moment with me.”

“On February 13, 2022, at Super Bowl LVI in Inglewood, CA, at the new Sophie Stadium, Dr. Dre, a music visionary from Compton, Snoop Dogg, an icon from Long Beach, and Kendrick Lamar, a youth music pioneer in his own right, Compton. Also, will take center field for the performance of a lifetime,” said Sean “Jay-Z” Carter. “They’ll be joined by lyrical genius, Eminem, and the timeless queen, Mary J. Blige. It’s the Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show. It’s making history.”

While the performance is certainly for everyone from coast to coast, there is also a charity aspect to the show.

Event sponsors Pepsi and the NFL signed on to support South L.A. Magnet School Regional School No. 1, founded by rapper and Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Partnered with Dre. The school, slated for next fall, offers an education with a focus on integrated design, technology and entrepreneurship, according to Variety.
