It’s super, it’s wild, it’s super wild card weekend.
The NFL’s first Week 18 event proved to be a very eventful one: the Jaguars defeated the Colts, removing Indy from the dance, while the Raiders-Chargers “Sunday Night Football” matchup drew close to a tie. With the playoff picture now set, the 14-team tournament’s second year is under way, and possibly here to stay. There are several interesting matchups to kick off the weekend, which is now spread over three days.

The NFL’s Super Wild Card Weekend has almost come to its conclusion. Five games are over, with one Monday night matchup remaining. That means we are very close to knowing what the divisional round is going to look like.
Sunday’s action started with the end of Saturday’s activity. Like the Buffalo Bills, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won in blowout fashion. The Philadelphia Eagles couldn’t advance their wanted ground game, and the Super Bowl champions wasted little time pulling away.
The Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers matchup was far more entertaining, at least of late. San Francisco dominated the first three quarters physically, but late mistakes allowed the Cowboys to climb back into it.

For the first time in more than 30 years, the NFL will hold a Monday playoff game and that game between the Cardinals and the Rams will officially kick off Super Wild Card Weekend when it kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET.
The winner of Monday’s game will advance to Tampa Bay where they will meet the defending champion Buccaneers in the divisional round on January 23. In other NFC divisional games, the top-seeded Packers will begin their playoff run by hosting. The 49ers in Saturday’s prime-time game at Lambeau Field.
In the AFC, the top-seeded Titans will return to the field after a week off and will host a Bengals team fresh from their first playoff win in 31 years. Games in Nashville begin at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday The other AFC divisional game will give us a rematch of last season’s AFC title game in which the Bills travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs on Sunday.
