The New York City Marathon, currently known as the TCS New York City Marathon for sponsorship reasons, is an annual marathon (42.195 km or 26.219 mi) that runs through the five boroughs of New York City. It is the largest marathon in the world, with 53,627 finishers in 2019 and 98,247 applicants for the 2017 race. Along with the Boston Marathon and the Chicago Marathon, it is one of the major long-distance annual running events in the United States and one of the world marathon majors.

Medal engraving

It is presented by Mastercard on Monday at the TCS New York City Marathon Pavilion offers marathon runners the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishment, jumpstart recovery, shop, have their medals engraved and return to the finish line area to reminisce.

On Marathon Monday, runners can have their medals engraved by Fond Memories, shop for New Balance gear, purchase copies of the New York Times special results section, and visit the Hospital for Special Surgery recovery zone (located outside the pavilion). Can visit. Medal engraving is $28. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

Prize money

First place winners in both the men’s and women’s categories will each receive $100,000. Meanwhile, the fastest runners in the same divisions will each take home $25,000. Additionally, each winner of the wheelchair division will receive $35,000.
