The NBA draft is an annual event dating back to 1947 in which the teams from the National Basketball Association can draft players who are eligible and wish to join the league. These are typically college basketball players, but international players are also eligible to be drafted.

The 2022 NBA Draft will be held at the Barclays Center in New York on Thursday, June 23 — the ninth year in a row the event has been held there.
The 2022 NBA Draft will feature 58 picks between Rounds 1 and 2, as opposed to the customary 60 (as a result of the Bucks and Heat losing their second-round picks due to violating the league’s anti-tampering rules).
Order 2022:
For the second consecutive year, ABC will also broadcast the first round of the NBA Draft.
SportsCenter’s Kevin Negandhi will return to host the ABC presentation alongside analysts Stephen A. Smith, Jalen Rose and Chiney Ogwumike with Monica McNutt reporting.

Following the Magic in the NBA Draft are the Thunder, with the league’s fourth-worst record at 24-58. The Rockets (20-62), Kings (30-52) and Pistons (23-59) round out the top five, respectively.
