It was the most passing yards ever by a Canadian quarterback in a CFL game, eclipsing the 427-yard mark set by Gerry Datilio in 1981.
“I’m just a distributor of football there. Those guys are coming in in the right positions and they’re making big plays,” Rourke said after the win.

After a few years playing, Kurtis found his love for the game, and this translated into success on the gridiron. The quarterback competed locally around Oakville, Ontario, playing alongside many future CFL players.
“It was always fun competing with him,” Kurtis said. “We were really good together and really talented so we won a lot of championships.”
Kurtis started to realize that he had a special hand talent during his youth, and this was noticed during his high school career. During his ninth and 10th grade years, Kurtis played with his bow at Holy Trinity in Oakville.
